Pharmacist – Syrian Arab Republic


IDA is an international independent non-governmental organization providing medical and humanitarian assistance to people affected by conflicts, natural disasters and epidemics regardless of race, religion, gender or political affiliation.
IDA was founded in 2012 by Syrian doctors from Aleppo in response to the healthcare and humanitarian crisis in Syria.

IDA Syria is the main healthcare provider in the Northern Aleppo/Syria area, working closely with 500,000 IDPs and 700,000 host communities through 20 healthcare facilities and other health and nutrition projects

During last year, IDA has provided 1.2 million services in Heath, Nutrition, WaSH and Camp Management

Specific Responsibilities:

Ensure proper functioning of the pharmacy including security, ease of access, safety, storage and proper handling of inventory.
– Implementation of the storage card system, which includes:
– Not running out of medicine stock.
Maintaining the protection of drug stocks.
– Permanent update of the inventory list.
– New orders are according to the following calculation (order amount = monthly consumption + safe stock – remaining quantity)
Submit the monthly inventory report to the direct supervisor.
– Be responsible for quality assurance procedures for pharmaceutical products, including temperature control, hygiene, pest control….etc
Provide the health team with medicines in a timely manner.
– It is concerned with drug delivery, storage, delivery of notes, shipment statement … etc
– Supports medical waste management in accordance with laws and recommendations and supervises the work of cleaners throughout the unit.
Informing the facility manager or direct supervisor of any difficulty, security concerns, the possibility of the spread of an infectious disease and any other information related to the subject.
– Preserving the rights, dignity and confidentiality of patient information.
Contribute effectively to the improvement of the health facility and organization.
Carrying out any other duties – within his experience – as assigned by the direct supervisor.
Follow the instructions of the facility manager or direct supervisor, and in his absence, follow the instructions of another employee from the Independent Doctors Organization
-Strictly adhere to humanitarian and protection principles and standards, as well as organizational policies including the Code of Conduct, Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) and Child Protection.

  • Qualifications:
  • Context/Specific skills, knowledge, and experience:
  • -Certificate in pharmacy
  • Minimum five years of experience in pharmacy management or other similar place.
  • Good organizational and time management skills
